Miguel Manso

Miguel Manso was born in Santarém in 1979. He lived in Almeirim and Lisboa, and now lives in a hamlet in Sertã. He studied drawing and documentation sciences and worked as a karate instructor. In Vale do Pereiro, he runs Casa de Gigante - Associação Cultural Mandriões no Vale Fértil. He has been publishing poetry books since 2008 and, in cinema, co-directed the feature films Bibliografia (2013) and Passagem dos Elefantes (2023) with João Manso. His work appears in the catalogues of Portuguese publishers such as Douda Correria, Relógio D’Água and Tinta-da-China, as well as the Indian publisher Poetrywala and the Brazilian publisher Macondo. His texts feature in a substantial number of Portuguese and international anthologies and literary magazines.
