José Eduardo Martins

José Eduardo Martins is a lawyer working primarily in public and environmental law, and a non-executive director of Associação Mutualista Montepio Geral.

He was a Member of the Portuguese Parliament between 1999 and 2011 and a Secretary of State in the XV and XVI Constitutional Governments.

He was born in Lisboa in 1969, but prefers to think of himself as being from Minho. Married, a father of three and a Benfica supporter, he says he does not take himself too seriously and is a happy man. He enjoys reading and regularly comments on his many reads on social media.
